About Granny Tales
Grandmother-told audio stories for children in five Indian languages.
Granny Tales began with the stories I listened to as a child, sitting with my grandmother. I wanted children growing up far from their grandparents to experience some of that closeness too, in the language their family calls home.
What it is
30 original stories for children, adapted into Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil, and narrated by grandmothers.
What it is not
It is not therapy, meditation, an anxiety treatment or a guaranteed sleep solution. It is storytelling, with gentle values carried inside the characters' choices.
